Remove the backing from the transfer tape. Apply the transfer tape to your vinyl by holding the transfer tape in the shape of a taco, which means a “U” shape, then put the bottom of your “taco” onto the middle of your vinyl design. You can layer vellum and use it for tracing a design, as you can mostly see through it. Vellum doesn’t come in an array of colors—you mostly just find shades of white, gold, and silver. I recommend vellum for cards, invitations, scrapbooking, and for transferring images.

washi tape – A light-adhesive backed strip that is durable and flexible. Washi tape is available in a variety of widths, textures, patterns, and colors. The tape tears easily and can be safely applied to a variety of surfaces. It does not leave a sticky residue behind, making it ideal for craft projects.
